I returned to London in 1996 after living in Sydney, Australia
for 12 years. I majored in painting at the National art School.
I established VOID (a non profit alternative artspace)
in november 1997 with two other artists. Recent work titled "Token" (a symbol and reminder, an entitlement to passage) is a visual documentation which is partially autobiographical; something happened, at some point somewhere. The evidence is contained in a plastic sleeve and in some work is used to juxtaposition against copies and painted interpretations. The varied representation of the evidence reflects different states of memory; sharp and accurate as opposed to faded and obscured. This series of work deals with experiences specific or symbolic and suggests infinite possibilities... |
