The gaps between things are important. My work is concerned with the relationships created by such "spaces" between form and content, image and object, fact and fiction, narrative and metaphor, context and ambiguity, viewer and participant, women and men... I'm trying to make statements (always provisional) and ask questions (usually riddles) which are discursive and culturally resonant. The work involves the viewer in a process of collusion, association, implication and, in some cases, intervention
Fluff (1998) is a tumble dryer textile piece a memento mori in mixed fibres which spans high and low coulture and bridges the gap between genders
