OUTER LIMITS

as I have grown older
welding into the space
around me
moulding
this face
this place
I am growing old in
forming my destiny

history
gains impetus
anxious space filling occurs

this place I grow up in
it surrounds
it preserves

and reassembles the yester
a teezing time tester
festering on the yester
has become second nature
or do I mean first nature?

re-adjusting my future
it slips
it slides
my continual compromise

here I am stranded
adapting to the outer
limits which encase me

cannot see cannot see
through my own definitions
those intricate delusions

I lap the sap
lick up the languid haze
swim in an emotional maze
with my droopy lazy ways
with a memory so muzzy
I am mutating in many ways

my myth
inner pith

core of the sore bits
pinkie and poking through
no presto to show
I know we know
we the core and I know

existence is getting shorter
regular and no rejoinder
response for ever smaller
space of which we al conform
and gradually lose thy pace
to the ever accelerating
outer limits
