St Petersburg artist Vladimir Yakobtchuk graduated 1987 from Art College (after K. Savitski) and graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture after I. Repin (The Academy of Arts 1988-1994)

He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in St Petersburg, and has also worked in Finland and Germany. He is a member of the Union of Russian Artists. and is the founder and chairman of the Society for Support of Artists. In 1996 he received the Grant of the President of Russia.

His work is held in public collections in Katten Cabinet, Amsterdam; Eero Rantanet Foundation, Helsinki, Finland; Art Museum of Rasio, Harkko, Finland, and in private collections worldwide.
