Welcome to the Hayvends new project HYPER-MART.

Hayvend currently launching a new project called "Hyper-mart". The aim is to promote the new art-form of "digital art" and distribute it in the old and much over looked media of the floppy disc. This project will run in much the same way as original Hayvend in the boxes except that artists will be commissioned <through the arts council> and work will be reproduced by Hayvend rather than the artist making a series or editioned multiple. The commission is limited, we will have £2500 to divide by about 15 artists. Artists will be accepted apon merit and originality of work. 15 artists will be commissioned in this first round, but more may be accepted into the project and commissioned at a later date. The sooner you return work for submission the better its chances of making the first round, we will however be commissioning again once the project is up and running [provided it is a success] so if you don’t get in first time it isn’t to late...

ARTISTs will undertake produce an original work of art for reproduction in floppy disc format. This work will be no larger than 1.4Mb and for PC or cross platform [no Mac only]. Will not reproduce, copy or distribute the agreed work in another format or the same format. This work will be produced exclusively for Hayvends Hyper-mart project HAYVEND will undertake to pay a commissioning fee of £150. This fee will be payed on receipt of a satisfactorily finished master copy of the artwork. Above fee will be payed two months after the initial launch of “Hyper-mart” [feb 2000 latest]. Initial selection is limited to 15 artists, but successful late candidates will be held over for future consideration. Hayvend will copy artists master disc up to 1000 times and produce a 1000 edition compilation cdrom <cdrom will only be produced if Hyper-mart project is successful, all contributing artists will receive a copy> This agreement shall be governed by [English] law and both parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the [English] courts. This agreement is personal as between the parties and may not be transferred by ether party without the prior written consent of the other.
