I have been working with themes to do with family, friends, people's belongings, everyday ordinary rituals and things that we all have in common. The work is funny, quirky with cute objects and curiosities. My medium is photography and super-8 films. I am trying to construct a progression of work to do with my family and friends' articles within their homes. They could be very close up details of their possessions, still photographs of their lives. The closeness allows you to gaze at them and not quite understand what it is that you are looking at. So it may not be the full picture or story that you are looking at. At this moment in time, I am usually taking photographs of the places that 1 am visiting, most recently New York City. I have been looking at people and documenting their lives have also been photographing friends and family homes in England, recording their belonings.
