I am very grateful to John Hayward for encouraging me to distribute "Stained Glass Window" through the HAYVEND apparatus. I am happy that my writing presents itself as a discreet object, and, what's more, an object that is acquired at a certain cost. The question of acquisition and perhaps possession, might then be raised and, since these are matters of no small concern to me, I am still more grateful. I suspect that it is impossible for a piece of writing to speak for itself; the response always comes first. I therefore very much welcome responses to the piece.
