Trinity Buoy Wharf is situated on the north of the River Thames opposite the 'Millennium Dome Experience' and sits on the mouth of the River Lea and in a new and important regeneration area in the east of Tower Hamlets. The Leaside Regeneration Board was set up just prior to the LDDC demise. One of its first Directors was Mr Eric Reynolds also on the Cityside Regeneration Board and The Spitalfields Market.

The freehold title passed from the LDDC to London Borough of Tower Hamlets on 31 March 1998 the day of the LDDC demise. Also on that day but prior to the freehold being passed over the LDDC granted a 125 year headlease to the Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust who in turn offered a 124 year lease to Mr. Eric Reynolds - Urban Space Holdings ltd subject to the fulfilment of a 45 monthdevelopment agreement between the trust , Urban Space Holdings ltd and Trinity Buoy Wharf Space Management Ltd.

The trust was established in November 97 to "advance the arts" at Trinity Buoy Wharf, establishing a centre for Arts and Creative Enterprises. The trust consisted soley of LDDC Staff and Board members. This team designed the trusts objects and articles of memorandum [link to copy] during a five month period wich was concluded by the a reshuffle of the board of trustees and the passing of titles on the 31 March 1998.
